Rev. Herbert Dallas Riley Sr. age 76 of Crowl Street, Westover went to be with the Lord whom he served and loved for 55 years on Monday, March 8, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 22, 1933 in Jere, WV a son of the late Herbert Hugh and Georgia Wolfe Riley.
Dallas retired from the WVU Bookstore in 1993, had previously worked at the Morgan Shirt Factory for 22 years. He was a 1953 graduate of University High School and was a United States Army Veteran. Dallas ministered to three Assembly of God Churches and was a member of the Mount Morris Gospel Tabernacle. His two greatest joys were in being with his family and preaching the Gospel. He spent the last several years of his life on the road, supporting and cheering his grandchildren in all their activities and driving around with his wife, enjoying the scenery and watching the horses in their fields.
Dallas is survived by his high-school sweetheart, whom he married in 1953, Aileen Wade Riley, two daughters and spouses, Debbie and Mike Bryan of Westover and Judy and Rodney Mason of Cumberland, MD, two sons and spouses, Herb and Christine Riley Jr. of Morgantown and David and Sissy Riley of Mt. Morris, one brother and spouse, Richard “Dick” and Lilly Riley of Morgantown, grandchildren, Michael, Matt and wife Jamie and Mitch Bryan, Dallas, Rachael, and Nick Riley, Paul John Schumacher II and wife Jenn, CJ, Brooke and Zack Mason, Chris and Tiffany Muli, Tosh Beal, Bud Trout, Bubby Paul, and Erica and Jessica Riley, great grandchildren, Sierra, Imami, Malachi, Anzo, Madden, and Cheyenne and several nieces and nephews.
Dallas was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Nellie Welsh and one brother Bobby Riley.

Friends may call at the McCulla Funeral Home on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 PM and at the Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle on Friday from 11:00 AM until the 1:00 PM Funeral service with Pastors Milford Watters and Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery with graveside military honors provided by the Westover VFW Post # 9916 and the WVANG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
